NYC and Housing Works Launch re-fashioNYC
March 26, 2011
The Department of Sanitation and the Mayor’s Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability recently announced a partnership with sector member Housing Works, which will place clothing and apparel bins in residential buildings throughout the city. This comprehensive program, aptly named
re-fashioNYC, will expand many New Yorkers’ ability to donate clothing easily and help divert even more materials from the waste stream all at the same time. Best of all, this comes at no cost to taxpayers or building owners!
