Materials for the Arts

Mission

A supplier of material resources to over 3,800 arts and cultural organizations and public schools. Materials for the Arts accepts products and materials from companies that no longer need them and distributes them to artists and educators that do. In the process, the program diverts hundreds of tons of valuable resources from entering NYC’s waste stream each year.

Materials for the Arts is a program of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and receives funding from New York City Departments of Sanitation and Education.

Art Supplies, Books, Fabric & Textiles, Furniture (Office), Media (CD/DVD), and Paper

Materials Accepted From:

General public, Businesses & Institutions
