Project Cicero

Mission

Description: A program that creates and enhances classrooms and libraries in under-resourced NYC public schools by an annual citywide book drive.

Project Cicero also donates books to early learning centers, after-school programs, and wherever else there is an educational need. The program has placed nearly one million books in 5,500 classrooms, reaching an estimated 180,000 children.

Project Cicero is a partnership of the New York Society Library, Children for Children Foundation, Vornado Realty Trust, and the New York Post, in association with the NYC Teaching Fellows and Teach for America.
